I’ve been doing astrophotography for only three years, but already shot and edited lots of reward winning astrophotos. With my daily job as a professional photography editor with an experience of over 10 years, I know exactly how to use the best tools in your favorite editing program. In my time as an astrophotographer I’ve learned that the best approach to editing an image is not one that relies on any single software, but one that goes between various programs for their strong points to arrive at a great result. I have some techniques that could help you find the right answer to your problems.
It’s easy – all you need is a PC or laptop with a microphone and/or a webcam and we are ready to go!

Editing Software and Plugins

With all my processed images I take a broad approach using multiple programs to get to a final image. I recommend getting these programs so we can start from the same point of view:
- Pixinsight (Herbert Walter Pixinsight scripts)
- Adobe Photoshop (AstroFlat Pro, StarSpikes Pro 4)
- Topaz Labs DeNoise AI
- RC Astro Suite: BlurXTerminator, NoiseXTerminator & StarXTerminator
Many of them have a month-long free trial so you can test them out yourself.

ich bin absolut begeistert von deinen Bildern, insbesondere von SH2-129.
Habe dieses Objekt selbst aufgenommen, komme aber in der Bildbearbeitung, speziell von Ou4 einfach nicht weiter. Es will mir nicht gelingen den blauen Anteil herauszuarbeiten.
In OIII liegen 20 Std. Belichtungszeit vor.
In HII und SII jeweils 7 Std.
Aufgenommen mit der ASI1600MM und dem TS 61EDPH.
Die Bilder liegen bereits als Stack vor.
Wie würde denn solch ein Kurs bei dir ablaufen?
Es kommen in PI sicher irgendwelche Scripte zu Einsatz, welche natürlich einige Zeit zum Durchlaufen benötigen. Wird dies bei einem Bearbeitungskurs berücksichtigt?
Als Bearbeitungsprogramme nutze ich PI und PS.
Über eine entsprechende Aussage würde ich mich sehr freuen!

My name is Abdullah, and I’m doing astrophotography since 2017 , my image processing workflow didn’t change much since I started this hoppy , until recently I decided to learn new techniques, I was looking for online resources on Youtube for example, where I could learn new skills and accelerate my learning curve, but nothing can help much like one-on-one session, I’m happy to have multiple session with Yannick, with his advanced processing skills I learned new workflow and techniques that made my images look much different and better than before the course.
